In November 2013 I switched from Lapper 5.x to Lapper 6.x and added my Pubstat keys into the new Lapper.
I also removed the # at the beginning of the line, so all should be fine.
Because our team has moved servers this week, I had to adjust the IP address in LFS World.
While doing that, I noticed that no Pubstat data was used since November 2013.
I double checked my settings in Lapper, even created a new Ident-key to make sure all is working, but still no data seems to be used.
Any ideas on this matter?
The Keys are inserted into LFS Lapper, which I still use.
It might be that I switched from Lapper 5.x to Lapper 6.x around that time, but then the keys should still work.
I will look into it again as it puzzles me.
*edit*
Indeed, I switched from Lapper 5.x to Lapper 6.x on 16-11-2013.
So that should explain it.
Although the keys are still properly set into the new Lapper as well.
Well, since I haven't heard anyone complain about missing something, I best leave the subject alone I guess.
Thanks for the help.
Ow, sorry for the "stupid" comment.
When is pubstat information used?
All I know is that it used data every month consistently and apparently it stopped after November 2013.
Until yesterday the keys were binded to the IP of our previous servers and I changed them to the IP of our new server yesterday evening.
The keys are assigned to my account.
I have copied my keys and put them into LFS Lapper again, but no data is generated.
Just tried to gather data using: /w pb
That returned correct values, so the keys should be working.
Any help or direction to solve this problem, is highly appreciated.
I was just on LFS World to adjust IP addresses, since our team has moved servers.
Then I noticed there's no PubStat usage available after November 2013.
That's weird, since we have races every weekend and practice during the week.
I double checked the Ident keys and those are okay.
If you see the skin when driving on- or offline, the file must be on your computer.
Find the folder LFS is installed in and then look in the "data" folder and then in the "skins" map.
The file should be there.
Copy/paste it to your desktop and then upload it to LFS World.
I am not denying anything.
Only asking a question.
I think above quote about leagues is true.
Being a member of Absolute-Beginners.nl, I know that those leagues (sunday evening) always have a huge turnup and some good racing.
Maybe the public interest has gone down, but the people who are really interested in this game, do still race in leagues.
Prime time while most european people are working at the moment?
I think prime time is/was in about 2 hours, when work is finished, dinner is done and everyone enjoys a free evening.
Having said that, free time is something that is becoming less frequent year by year.
More and more people have all sorts of things to do in their spare time, meaning that playing computer games in general, goes to 2nd plan.
@S.E.T.H: I'm just wondering. How can you have such strong opinions on LFS and tell other people how they should feel about the game, while you are only around for 2 years and are a Demo racer? Unless I have missed something, you aren't really qualified to be on the high horse at this subject.
I'm still reading your progres reports, thoughts, worries and all.
Please keep them coming.
What you are trying to achieve is way beyond my skills and knowlegde, but reading while things are happening is very interesting for me.
Sorry to hijack this topic, but for these questions I don't want to start a new topic.
I've been coding in Lapper for a long time, but it has a couple of ... , well how would I say this in a political way, issues I can't get my head around, while I suspect they are bugs within Lapper.
So I have been thinking to re-write all my programs in PRISM.
There are 2 questions I would like to get answered:
1) Can PRISM do anything Lapper can?
2) In Lapper there seems to be a bug when checking tyretypes before/after pitstop, do you think that's working correctly in PRISM or is that an Insim bug?
Or just download LFS Lapper and start coding all these features in there, if you don't want to learn hardcore program code.
What it is lately with all these people come asking to get someone to code for them?
If there would be a good salary at stake, I would quit my job sooner or later and start earning my money with this
It might be useful to explain what you want to have coded?
Speaking for myself, I can code within the Framework of LFS-Lapper, so might be able to code your request, but if it is very complicated and needs to be written in machine code, I won't be able to help you.
See my point?
Yeah very interesting to read about and see the progress.
Be aware that many people will read your postings, but don't want to react in this topic to keep it organised and/or because they haven't got the knowledge of what you are doing. (I am no exception to that)
Keep up the good work and keep those updates coming.
@OSAMA-AK47: Please do us a favor and turnoff your capslock. Writing in only capitals is online seen as screaming and there certainly isn't a need to scream here. Thank you.
I have no experience with ISRM and Lapper running along side, but do have experience with full servers (32 cars) and Lapper and that certainly isn't causing any lag.
I've just downloaded my pitboard.txt file as uploaded on this forum, went to line 66 and didn't see the issue you mentioned.
There even isn't a "!start" text in the whole file.
